Europa Player Resources SiteThe Europa-series is a series of games that simulate theater-wide military operations among the combatants of World Wars I & II. Ground forces are primarily composed of divisions, including division-sized Soviet corps, with specialized and support forces included and represented as individual battalions, regiments and brigades. Air forces are represented and organized using aircraft types in lieu of historical air groups. Naval units are represented using either task forces or individual capital ships with flottilas of smaller vessels depending on the scale of the campaign simulated.
The Europa-series is composed of the Europa, Glory and The Great War series of games. The Europa series of games covers WWII combat in the European Theater of Operations. The Glory series covers WWII combat in the Pacific Theater of Operations. The Great War series covers WWI combat in Europe.
The Europa series was introduced in 1973 with the publication of Drang Nach Osten (Fire in the East). Since this time, every theater of WWII in the European Theater has been covered in a game including the Spanish Civil War. The game system itself has undergone constant revisions from the improvement of the Orders of Battle, noted for their historical accuracy, to the mechanics and interaction of air combat.
The Europa/Ring is a linked series of web sites promoting, describing and supporting the Europa-series of games published by Game Research/Design. This page serves as the home page of both the Europa/Ring and the Europa Player Resources Site, its first active site.
This Europa Player Resources Site is a completely free service which seeks to provide a forum for Europa game play including both official and unofficial, alternate material including: errata, battlefield reports, Orders of Battle, "house" rules, player aid charts, programs, web links and more.
